SETTLEMENT OF APPREHENSION CASES

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

The Office of the City Mayor, Traffic Operations Section, as traffic law enforcement, issues traffic citation ticket (TCT) to traffic law violators of the city ordinance 21-27, violators will settle their apprehension in the aforementioned office to be cleared of their violations and avoid being charged with a case and/or for their impounded motor vehicle to be released.

General Requirement
 
1. White copy of the Traffic Citation Ticket (TCT) and receipt of payment. (1 original) Apprehended driver/ registered owner/ operator
2. In case of loss of TCT, Freedom of Information Request Form (FOIRF) (1 original) Traffic Operations Office/ Frontline Service
3. Additional Requirement  

3.1. In the absence of the traffic violator:

3.1.1 Authorization letter (1 original); and 

3.1.2 Any government issued ID of the absent traffic violator (1 photocopy).

3.2 If contested:

3.2.1 White copy of the Traffic Citation Ticket (TCT) and pieces of evidence (1 printed each)

A. SIMPLE ADMITTED APPREHENSION CASES/PAYMENT OF FINES
       
1. For payment, bring the white copy of the Traffic Citation Ticket (TCT) to the City Treasurer’s Office,
proceed and queue to the cashier for the payment of fines.
 1.1 Receive payment and issue Official Receipt (OR) Refer to the TCT for the fines and penalty  10 minutes  Cashier

B. PAYMENT OF FINES WITH IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEHICLE        
1. For payment, bring the white copy of the Traffic Citation Ticket (TCT) to the City Treasurer’s Office,
proceed and queue to the cashier for the payment of fines.
1.1 Receive payment and issue Official Receipt (OR)  Refer to the TCT for the fines and penalty 10 minutes  Cashier
City Treasurer’s Office
2. Proceed to the Traffic Operations Office and present the white copy of the TCT, valid proof of ownership of the
impounded MV, valid ID, copy of impounding receipt and Official Receipt (OR) of payment, then get clearance and copy of certification from TOS to claim confiscated item/s 
2.1. Produce clearance and certification for the release of the impounded MV, release confiscated item/s   None  10 minutes

3. Proceed to the impounding facility and present the OR of payment and copy of the certificate and clearance given by the TOS. 3.1 Release impounded vehicle  None   10 minutes

 C. CONTESTED APPREHENSION CASES        
1. Submit necessary requirements

-White copy of the Traffic Citation Ticket (TCT) and pieces of evidence (1 printed each)
1.1 Receive, checks and dockets the required documents  None  5 minutes
