The Data Protection Officer of the City Government of Tayabas is responsible for ensuring the proper handling, protection, and security of personal data in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and related regulations. It oversees data privacy policies, monitors compliance across all offices, manages data security incidents, and serves as the primary contact for data privacy concerns of citizens and stakeholders.

The office also promotes awareness and accountability within the LGU to safeguard the rights of individuals and maintain public trust in government services.

NPC Certificate of Registration (COR) Seal

The Certificate of Registration (COR) Seal issued by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) signifies that the City Government of Tayabas is duly registered as a Personal Information Controller and/or Personal Information Processor in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

The presence of this seal affirms the LGU’s commitment to lawful data processing, implementation of appropriate security measures, and adherence to national data privacy standards—ensuring the protection of personal information and strengthening public trust in its digital services.

Certificate of Registration

The Certificate of Registration issued by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) certifies that the City Government of Tayabas is duly registered as a Personal Information Controller (PIC) and/or Personal Information Processor (PIP) in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

This certification confirms that the LGU has established the necessary data protection framework, including policies, security measures, and accountability mechanisms to ensure the lawful processing and protection of personal data.
