We are now on 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 of the 𝟏𝟖-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, and our commitment to dismantling outdated stigmas remains strong!
We may have achieved significant strides in gender equality, but the 𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦-𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 surrounding sexual harassment and abuse remain a powerful challenge. It’s time to 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 asking, “𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔?”
The 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, in coordination with the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫, invites you to 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 our powerful and impactful exhibit:
“𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧”
This impactful exhibit showcases the actual clothing worn by women during incidents of harassment and abuse, compelling us to focus on the act itself 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. It strongly rejects the idea that a woman’s attire invites or justifies violence.
