CEREMONIAL SIGNING OF SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT FOR THE NATIONAL ID INTEGRATED TAYABAZEN DIGITAL PLATFORM: USER REGISTRATION AND IDENTITY VERIFICATION, JULY 13, 2026, NEW TAYABAS CITY HALL.
In his address, Mayor Piwa Lim expressed gratitude to the PSA, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, the IT and CCRO staff, and all others who played a role in reaching this significant milestone that positions the City of Tayabas as the first local government unit in Calabarzon to enter into a subscription for NIDAS.
Through the Subscription Agreement, the Tayabazen Digital Platform: User Registration and Identity Verification acts as the Relying Party for LGU-Tayabas City and has received authorization to operate fully and be accessible for public use as a National ID Authentication Relying Party.
The National ID Authentication System (NIDAS) serves as the official authentication platform for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) that enables government agencies and authorized private sector entities to securely verify the identity of individuals using the National ID credentials.
The recently concluded signing of the subscription contract signified the commitment of the city government of Tayabas and its partners to uphold the standards of secure digital identity authentication, among other conveniences and features.
Parties to the contract for the city government of Tayabas are composed of Mayor Anthony Abustan Lim and city administrator Attorney Voltaire Dela Cruz. For the Philippine Statistics Authority, Assistant Secretary and Deputy National Statistician Rosalinda P. Bautista and Philsys Registry Office-UCDMS Director Attorney Henedine P. Palabras.
Witnesses to the subscription contract for the LGU include City Civil Registrar Maide Jader, City Legal Officer Attorney Christopher Juniar, and ICT Head Raymond Bermudez. For the PSA, Region IV-A Director Charito Armonia, PSO Quezon-OIC Normita Pagkatipunan, and PRO-GSUCD Chief Oliver Chancoco.
Among those who attended the event were Barangay Chairpersons, LGU Department Heads, Councilor Manny Maraig, Councilor Jerry Talaga, Councilor Jerry Caagbay, Councilor Luz Cuadra, Councilor Elsa Rubio, Councilor Riza Llaneta, Councilor Dino Romero, Councilor Ana Obispo, ABC President Conrado Aragon, and SK Federation President Ren Miguel Obdianela.
