CCT Governing Board Approves Institutional Development Plan, Recommends New College President
Colegio De La Ciudad de Tayabas Governing Board Approves the Institutional Developmental Plan; Recommends the new College President / Administrator to the Local Chief Executive

TAYABAS CITY, July 2, 2026 — The Institutional Developmental Plan (IDP) presented by the OIC College Administrator Dr. Florenitte De Guzman has been adopted and approved by the Colegio De La Ciudad de Tayabas (CCT) Board of Trustees (BOT).

To guide the local public higher education institution in meeting the industry labor market needs and optimizes limited city government funding, the CCT-IDP will provide a multi-year strategic roadmap focused on academic growth, infrastructure upgrades, research engagements, and community alignment.

Likewise, the BOT adopted and approved a resolution which recommends the appointment of Dr. Farley L. Abrigo as College President / Administrator of the Colegio De La Ciudad De Tayabas to the local chief executive of the city.

After a meticulous review, deliberation, and comparative assessment of the credentials, administrative competence, academic vision, and track record of the candidates in the shortlist, Dr. Abrigo emerged as rank 1 based on the Final Comprehensive Report submitted by the Search Committee for President (SCP).

Based on the aforementioned Final Comprehensive Report, the Governing Board deemed that Dr. Abrigo possesses the utmost qualifications, integrity, vision, leadership capacity, and administrative competence required to effectively lead and manage the institution toward academic excellence and community development.

The meeting was attended by City Mayor Anthony Lim, OIC College Administrator Dr. Florenitte De Guzman, DOST Regional Director Dr. Emelita Bagsit, Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Education Chairman Coun. Ana Obispo, Business Sector Representative Coun. Elsa Rubio, Faculty President Dr. Melissa Joy Unson, Academe Sector Representative Dr. Charlemagne Lavina, Student Council President Llenard Penaflorida, and Board Secretary Prof. Juliet Labitigan.

The City Administrator, Atty. Voltaire de la Cruz and Human Resource Department Head and the Head Secretariat of the SCP Ms. Jane Calupig attending as resource persons were in the said meeting as well.
