1. Eligibility. The competition welcomes participation from all FEMALE residents of Tayabas (excluding recognized Dance Groups), including individuals from private organizations, public and private schools, barangays, community groups like KALIPI, PWD, LGBT, and other sectors in Tayabas, with a special invitation extended to Local Government Unit Employees. Contingents should consist of 8-12 members only.
2. Registration. To ensure participation in the contest, all entrants must register in advance. Registration includes filling out and submitting the official entry form obtainable from the CGAD Office.
3. Judging Panel. A panel of qualified judges with expertise in different dance styles will be selected to evaluate the performances. Judges should be impartial, knowledgeable, and experienced in the dance industry.
4. Performance Rules
• Theme: “Babae sa lahat ng Sektor: Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”
• Each group will be given a time limit for their performance, including setup and cleanup time of 3 to 5 minutes.
• Assembly time for all participants is ONE (1) hour before the official time of the competition.
• For every five (5) seconds in excess of the allowable time, a penalty of one (1) point shall be deducted from the total score of all the judges.
• The use of flammable materials such as pyrotechnics as part of the performance is strictly prohibited. Props used in the performance should not exceed 10ft. in height. Contingents are prohibited from performing dance movements that unduly endanger the safety of dancers.
• Costumes should reflect to the theme of the dance competition.
• Competition date: March 31, 2025. 1:00 pm at the SIlungang Bayan.
• The organizer is not liable for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any participant as a result of entering the competition.
• Each group may create or edit their music depending on their interpretation of the theme but should also use the official campaign music that can be downloaded from the CGAD Official Page (https://www.facebook.com/CGAD.TayabasCity/).
5. Scoring System Technique-25%
-Evaluate the dancers’ technical skills, including precision, control, and execution of dance movements. Consider factors such as body alignment, coordination, timing, and proficiency in various dance styles.
Performance Quality-30%
-Assess the dancers’ overall performance quality, which includes expression, stage presence, charisma, energy, and emotional connection with the audience. Look for confidence, engagement, storytelling ability, and entertainment value.
Creativity and Originality-20%
-Consider the originality and creativity of the choreography, formations, transitions, and use of props or costumes. Look for innovative and unique elements that set the performance apart and demonstrate artistic vision.
Musicality and Interpretation-25%
-Evaluate how well the dancers interpret the theme and express the music through their movements. Consider rhythm, musical accents, dynamics, and emotional interpretation to determine how effectively the choreography complements the music.
TOTAL- 100%
6. Prizes and Awards. Winners may receive various prizes, including cash rewards and certificates. The prizes are as follows: First Place – Php 16,000.00; Second Place – Php 12,000.00; and Third Place – Php 8,000.00.
7. Code of Conduct All participants, judges, and audience members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful atmosphere throughout the competition. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or unsportsmanlike behavior will be strictly prohibited.
8. Final Decision The decisions made by the judges are final and binding, and will not be subject to appeal or revision.
9. It is respectfully requested that all participants refrain from incorporating elements – objects, words, or names – related to the upcoming election, to ensure fairness and safety from any potential protests or misinterpretation by others.
