Mechanics and Guidelines
1. The competition is open to all citizens of Tayabas, including those affiliated with private institutions, public and private schools, barangays, and sectoral groups such as KALIPI, PWD, LGBT, among others, particularly Local Government Unit employees. Professional graphic artists are now permitted to participate in the contest.
2. Theme for the Women’s Month Celebration 2024: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”
3. Entries must be created in English or Filipino and must be original works specifically produced for this competition.
4. Vlogs should be filmed in landscape orientation with a minimum resolution of 1280×720 pixels.
5. The vlog should have a minimum duration of four (4) minutes and a maximum duration of five (5) minutes.
6. Submitted entries must not have been entered in any other competitions nor published on any digital platforms prior to this event.
7. Participants must ensure that their vlogs are suitable for general audiences and do not include any offensive language or images. They should also promote diversity and inclusion.
8. All video content must be filmed within the City of Tayabas.
9. To prevent copyright issues on social media platforms, participants are encouraged to either create their own music or download royalty-free music from reputable websites. This will improve the overall quality of their content.
10. The organizers are not responsible for any damages, losses, injuries, or disappointments incurred by participants due to their involvement in the competition.
11. The organizers bear no responsibility for any unlawful or improperly produced content submitted.
12. Participants agree to allow their submissions to be uploaded on the organizer’s official page for the purpose of popularity judging.
13. Not adhering to any of the above requirements will result in automatic disqualification from the competition.
14. Submission Guidelines: *Videos must be saved in MP4 or AVI format. *File names should follow this format: CGAD_Vlog_Participant’s Name_Barangay (e.g., CGAD_Vlog_JuanDelacruz_Ipilan for individuals or CGAD_Vlog_KALIPIangustias2 for groups). *All entries should be submitted to the CGAD Office located on the 3rd Floor of Tayabas City Hall by March 13, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Contest reactions will take place from 10:00 a.m. on March 7, 2025, until 12:00 noon on March 27, 2025.
15. Criteria for Judging
Relevance to the Theme-45%
-The Work readily explains the theme
Originality and Creativity-35%
-The work must be original and creative; the videographer has artistically woven his interpretation of the given theme in the video.
Technical Quality-10%
-Adherence to the technical requirements and contain creatively and correctly used elements (i.e. text, illustrations, etc.
Facebook Reactions and VIews-10%
-Combined Facebook HEART reactions and Views (played) Measure of audience impression on the video.
TOTAL- 100%
15. Prizes: First Place – Php 10,000.00; Second Place – Php 7,000.00; Third Place – Php 5,000.00.
16. The three winners will be revealed at the Closing Ceremony and Awards Day on March 28, 2025, at Silungang Bayan, and the results will also be shared on the official Facebook page of Tayabas City Gender and Development (CGAD).
17. All submitted entries will automatically be considered the property of CGAD Tayabas.
