Guidelines
1.Eligibility: Contest is open to all citizen of Tayabas, private institutions, public and private schools, barangays, sectoral groups such as KALIPI, PWD, LGBT and other sectors in Tayabas and especially the Local Government Unit Employees and all participants must register ahead of time.
The winner (1st Place) last year is not qualified to join the contest.
2. Theme: “Kababaihang Tayabasin: Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”
3. Originality: All entries must be original compositions. Plagiarism or use of existing songs is strictly prohibited. The use of offensive and rude words is strictly prohibited.
4. Scoring System:
Originality and Creativity-25%
-Original composition and uniqueness of the jingle; Innovative and imaginative approach to the theme; Catchiness and memorability of the melody
Vocal Performance-20%
-Quality of the singing (pitch, tone, and articulation); Expression and emotion conveyed through performance; Stage presence and engagement with the audience; Clarity and coherence of the lyrics; Relevance to the theme and effectiveness in conveying a message; Rhyming scheme, rhythm, and overall lyrical flow
Live Performance-20%
-Authenticity in delivering the jingle on stage; Ability to convey the emotions and message behind the jingle; Engagement with the audience, including body language, facial expressions, and interactions
Adherence to Theme-20%
-Relevance of the jingle to the given theme; Effective incorporation of key elements related to the theme
FB Heart Reaction + Number of Views-15%
-Ability to engage the audience and evoke a response; Overall entertainment value and memorability
TOTAL- 100%
5. Performance Duration: Each participant will have a maximum performance time of 3 minutes to 5 minutes to present their jingle.
6. Instrumental Accompaniment: Any musical instrument can be used as an accompaniment at the composer’s discretion. Participants may perform with recorded music or minus 1. If using live instruments, contestants must provide their own.
7. Judging Panel: A panel of judges will evaluate contestants based on the criteria outlined.
8. Disqualification: Any form of misconduct, including but not limited to use of unauthorized materials or inappropriate behavior, will lead to disqualification.
9. Final Decision: Judges’ decisions will be conclusive, and no appeals will be accepted.
Mechanics
1. Registration: Participants must register in-person before the contest deadline. Early registration is recommended to secure a spot.
2. Kick-off: The contest will commence with an introduction of the theme and rules. Participants will be briefed on the judging criteria.
3. Composition Phase: Participants will be given at least 14 days to create and submit their jingles after the theme announcement in MP3 format. All entries must be submitted to the CGAD Office, 3rd Floor Tayabas City Hall on or before March 12, 2024, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
All entries will automatically become property of CGAD Tayabas.
4. Social Media: To raise awareness on the advocacy of the celebration, CGAD will post the entries in its official Facebook page. Before reacting to the entry. Reactors should like the official Facebook page of Tayabas City Gender and Development- CGAD through this link: https://www.facebook.com/CGAD.TayabasCity/. Jingle Making Contest reacts will start on March 13, 2025, 10:00am until March 27, 2025, 12:00nn only.
5. Performance Order: Once the competition begins, each participant will perform in the order drawn randomly before the contest starts, ensuring fairness.
6. Performance: Participants will take the stage to perform their jingles on March 31, 2025 at the Silungang Bayan, 1:00pm. Judges may take notes during performances to aid in scoring.
7. Judging Session: After all/each performance/s, judges will score each contestant based on the established criteria. Participants will not have access to scores until the winners are announced.
8. Announcement of Winners: The top 3 winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Day on March 31, 2025 at the Silungang Bayan and will be posted at the official Facebook page of Tayabas City Gender and Development- CGAD.
Results will be revealed at the conclusion of the contest, with prizes or awards announced for top performers. Prizes: First Place – Php 10, 000.00; Second Place – Php 7, 000.00; and Third Place – Php 5, 000.00.
9.It is respectfully requested that all participants refrain from incorporating elements – objects, words, or names – related to the upcoming election, to ensure fairness and safety from any potential protests or misinterpretation by others.
